B. ROBERT ALLARD

B. ROBERT Allard is a co-founder of Corsiglia, McMahon and Allard in San Jose, California. He is a trailblazing attorney whose sole focus is to legally expose youth-serving organizations that fail to protect children from predators.

Allardstrivestoincreaseawarenessaboutchildhood sexual abuse in schools, sport and other organizations whose employees regularly interact with children. His mission is to make positive changes to child protection systems withintheseorganizations,suchasenhancedscreening and training, with the goal of eradicating childhood sexual abuse in society.

Allard is widely viewed as one of the nation’s top advocates in the area of institutional sexual abuse, meaning abuse occurring within organizations such as schools, youth sports leagues, daycare centers, camps, churches, group homes and other child-care organizations.

In2018Allard,aspartoftheCommitteetoRestoreIntegrityinamateursports, contributed to the passing of a new law to protect amateur athletes from sex abuse. The bill, authored by U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein, made all coaches across the Olympic Movement mandated reporters.

OfcriticalimportancetoAllard’slegalteamisthatsomethingpositiveemerge from tragedy so that all children are better protected from sexual predators. This change comes in the form of enacting new laws as well as forcing institutions to develop new and stronger child protection rules and procedures.

Allard has been honored for representing victims of amateur swimming sexual abuse. He was recognized as the Person of the Year by a major swimming publication and one of the Top 10 Most Impactful People in Swimming by Swimming World.

Allard maintains an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Every year National Trial Lawyers ranks him in its Top 100 Trial Lawyers list, and Northern California Super Lawyers has recognized him every year since 2009.

Allard earned a BA from the University of Notre Dame, and a JD from the University of San Francisco Law School.

Married with four children, Allard’s paternal grandmother Kathryn Murray was a native of Co. Cork.
