PATRICK T. MURPHY

PATRICK T. Murphy is a senior partner at Dworken&BernsteinCo.,LPA in Northeast Ohio where he has focused his practice in personal injury litigation for 35 years. His practice areas include nursing home abuse, medical malpractice and wrongful death.

He is an active member in the Cleveland Academy of Trial Lawyers, Ohio Association for Justice, American Association for Justice and the AAJ Nursing Home Litigation Group.

Murphy has been recognized by Ohio Super Lawyers, and as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by the National Trial Lawyers. He was also a finalist for Trial Lawyer of the Year by Public Justice.

Murphy was selected as a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and is recognized as a member of both the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell.

Murphy earned a JD from Cleveland State University, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

Murphy was born in Achill, Co. Mayo and immigrated to the U.S. with his family as a young child. He and his wife, Carlene, have three children and four grandchildren.

He is executive director emeritus of Cleveland’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee and is a founding member, trustee and officer of the Irish American Law Society of Cleveland. In 2020 he was honored with the Walks of Life Award from the Irish American Archives Society of Greater Cleveland.
