O’Connor has significant experience in defending securities litigation and in representing financial services companies in a range of litigation and regulatory matters.

O’Connor has been recognized as a leading lawyer by Chambers USA (2022), where clients say she is “a superior advocate in court,” and “a genius litigator” who provides “outstanding service and great strategic advice.”

The Legal 500 United States (2022) listed O’Connor in its Hall of Fame and recognized her as “the standout partner.” She was also recognized as a Litigation Star and as one of the Top 250 Women in Litigation in the IFLR Benchmark Litigation Guide (2021).

O’Connor was selected as a David Rockefeller Fellow for the class of 2020 by the Partnership for New York City.

O’Connor earned a BA, magna cum laude, from Harvard University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and a JD from Yale Law School, where she was a senior editor of the Yale Law Journal.

Married with two children, all of O’Connor’s great grandparents were from Cork, including Dunmanway and Skibbereen. She enjoys creative writing, and her college admissions essay was featured in the “Essays That Worked” column in The New York Times.

She wrote of her late father, “It’s cold out today, and I’m wearing my father’s Irish sweater. He used to wear this sweater all the time on winter weekends. It has big holes in the shoulders that he never bothered to sew, but it’s thick and warm and our old house is drafty. In the past year or so, one of the holes has stretched so far that I’m afraid the entire sleeve will come off, but I don’t want to mend it. I love the holes.”
