SHEILAH O’HALLORAN

SHEILAH O’Halloran is executive vice president and general Counsel for Atlantic Health

System, one of the leading healthcare organizations in New Jersey. She is responsible for the organization’s legal services, risk management and claims management functions. She also serves as the corporate secretary.

Before joining Atlantic Health System in 2010,

O’Halloran was a partner at Schenck, Price,

Smith & King and was responsible for the firm’s healthcare practice. She provided general corporate, regulatory, litigation, and labor and employment services to physicians and health care institutions throughout New Jersey, and served Atlantic Health System since its formation in 1996.

O’Halloran is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the New Jersey Hospital Association In-House Counsel Constituency Group, and the Health and Business sections of the New Jersey State Bar Association. She is a trustee emeritus of the board of the Business Law Section of the State Bar and a former trustee and counselor of the Morris/Essex Inn of Transactional Counsel.

O’Halloran is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Seton Hall Law Center for Health and Pharmaceutical Law & Policy. She serves as the immediate past chair of the board of the Westfield Area Y and chairs numerous Y Board Committees.

O’Halloran has been among the NJBIZ Law Power 50 since 2019. She was also named to ROI-NJ Influencers, Women in Business/Healthcare list for 2021.

O’Halloran earned a BA in French, magna cum laude, from Montclair State University, an MA from the University of Montreal, and a JD, cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law.

Married with two children, O’Halloran’s paternal great grandparents were from counties Clare, Meath, Mayo and Tipperary.
