PETER C. SHERIDAN

PETER C. Sheridan is a partner and chair of the Construction Law Practice Group at Glaser Weil, and is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office. He heads a team of attorneys who focus on construction law primarily and also handle complex real estate, eminent domain and inverse condemnation cases.

As a highly respected litigator, Sheridan represents owners, developers and architects in California, Nevada, Hawaii, The Bahamas, and internationally. He litigates and tries cases in all courts and before JAMS and AAA on a variety of issues, including construction close-out and defects, design error, delay, and related construction disputes.

Sheridan has negotiated and renegotiated scores of construction and design contracts for U.S.-based and international clients, and has litigated and negotiated all-risk, commercial and project-specific CCIP and OCIP insurance for multi-billion dollar projects.

Sheridan also focuses on complex real estate disputes, including those involving billion dollar real estate partnerships and large commercial landlord tenant cases. He represents government as well as landowners in eminent domain and inverse condemnation litigation, including the Los Angeles MTA.

Additionally, he has handled multi-district environmental and fraud litigation, securities class actions and business interference and defamation in New Mexico, Washington, D.C., New York, California and Belgian courts.

Sheridan has served on several boards of directors for his law school, church and elsewhere, and has actively supported numerous charities and outreach programs.

Sheridan is a Charter Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America, and has most recently published articles in the journal of the American College of Construction Lawyers and the ABA ADR Newsletter.

Sheridan received bachelor’s degrees in political science and speech communication from California State University, Northridge, and a JD, cum laude, from Willamette University College of Law.

Married with two children, Sheridan traces his Irish ancestry to Co. Cavan five generations back.
