ANDREW B. BLOOMER

ANDREW Baker Bloomer is a litigation partner in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis.

He has extensive experience in a variety of complex litigation matters in federal and state trial and appellate courts.

His areas of practice include class actions, multidistrict litigation and general commercial and product liability litigation, trial work, appeals and alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Bloomer has represented clients in complex consumer class actions, products liability, commercial contracts, environmental, franchise, distributorship, breach of contract, consumer protection, fraud, RICO,

ERISA, financial technology, biometric privacy and construction matters.

Among the clients that Bloomer has represented are Polaris, General Motors, OnStar and BP.

Bloomer has been named a Litigation Star by Benchmark Litigation (2021–2022), and Litigator of the Week by AmLaw Litigation Daily (April 3, 2020). The Legal 500 United States has also recognized him (2013, 2017– 2020, 2022), and in 2005, he was named one of the 40 Under 40 to Watch by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company.

Bloomer earned an AB, magna cum laude, from Harvard College, and a JD, cum laude, from University of Wisconsin Law School.

Married with five children, Bloomer traces his Irish heritage on his mother’s side to Co. Laois.
