KEVIN T. Coughlin is a founding partner and former managing partner of Coughlin Midlige & Garland LLP, with offices in New York and Morristown, New Jersey.

Coughlin regularly counsels insurers and reinsurers worldwide on a variety of issues relating to commercial insurance and reinsurance. He also defends insurance companies and reinsurance companies in coverage litigation and arbitrations in numerous jurisdictions throughout the U.S. and Europe.

Coughlin has been named by New Jersey Super Lawyers for insurance coverage since 2006. Since 2007 he has been recognized by International Who’s Who for insurance and reinsurance. He maintains an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. In 2018, Coughlin received the Assumption College for Sisters Family Life Award.

Coughlin earned a BA from Villanova University, and a JD from Seton Hall University School of Law.

Married with four children, Coughlin traces his Irish roots to Co. Cork three generations back.
