ROBERT F. COYNE

ROBERT F. Coyne is a director in the Corporate Group of Gibbons P.C. and is based in the firm’s Newark, New Jersey office. He practices corporate transactional law, primarily in the area of mergers and acquisitions and strategic alliances.

Coyne focuses on middle-market deals for clients ranging from closely held businesses to large international groups. Many of his clients are in the life sciences industry, including pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, diagnostic and medical communications companies.

He represented an international provider of healthcare services based in Ireland in its acquisition of the healthcare communications business. The $170 million acquisition established the provider in the U.S. market and solidified its position as a market leader in the global healthcare communications market.

In addition, Coyne handles a variety of corporate legal matters, including financing and licensing agreements, for a life sciences data company based in Ireland. He also provides legal counseling in connection with executive compensation for a major nonprofit supporting the Irish diaspora community.

Coyne earned a BS and a BA, cum laude, from Georgetown University, and a JD from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.

The father of four children, Coyne traces his Irish ancestry three generations back to Co. Mayo.
