KEVIN DOOLEY KENT

KEVIN Kent is a member in the Philadelphia office of Clark Hill, and a consultant with Clark Hill’s Dublin office. He advises clients on risk management in high legal exposure industries, identifying proactive steps to avoid litigation or to mitigate risks by better positioning the client for unavoidable litigation, and defending them in litigation when it occurs.

Kent represents companies in matters involving civil fraud, fiduciary liability, director and officer liability, professional malpractice, government civil enforcement actions, government audits, employment litigation and white-collar criminal defense. His clients come from a broad spectrum of industries.

Kent is annually recognized by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America. He maintains an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. In 2018, he was selected as a recipient of the Law Firm Innovator Award by The Legal Intelligencer for his work in developing and using Alternative Fee Arrangements.

Kent is licensed as a solicitor in Ireland, England, and Wales. He is the immediate past chairman of, and current economic development and government liaison for, the Irish American Business Chamber & Network, which promotes the development of economic and educational relationships between the U.S., Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Kent earned a BA from Boston College, and a JD from Vanderbilt University Law School, where he served on the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law. He also completed a course of study at the UN Center for Peace and Conflict Resolution, Magee College, University of Ulster in Co. Derry.

Married with four children, Kent’s roots lie in counties Galway, Cavan, Kilkenny and Derry.
