LISA Maloney is assistant general counsel at Berkadia Commercial Mortgage in Ambler, Pennsylvania. She manages each of the closing departments within Berkadia, including Fannie, Freddie, Third-Party Affordable, Life Company, HUD and balance sheet loan portfolios, as well as HUD construction and third party engagement, to ensure best execution for the company. Her additional responsibilities include creation of best practice policies and procedures for closing and closing’s interaction with both internal and external parties, including mortgage banking network, underwriting, credit, treasury, accounting, servicing, investors, third party providers and borrowers. Prior to joining Berkadia, Maloney was senior vice president/senior counsel of Capmark Finance LLC. Maloney earned a BA in politics and biology from Fairfield University, and a JD from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. The mother of a teenage daughter who was born in Dublin, Maloney’s mother Sarah Gibbons Maloney is a native of Louisburgh, Co. Mayo. Her paternal grandparents were from counties Roscommon and Mayo. Maloney is the president of the Irish American Business Chamber & Network in Philadelphia, and vice president of the Commodore Barry Arts and Cultural Center. She coordinated Covid-19 relief efforts on behalf of the Irish Center. She is a board member of the Delaware Valley Irish Hall of Fame and the Mayo Association of Philadelphia, and a member of the Friendly Sons and Daughters of St. Patrick.
