ANN KENNEY MOLLOY

ANN Kenney Molloy is president of Kansas City-based Encompass Resolution LLC, which she founded in 2007. Drawing on 30 years of experience in the field of employment law, Molloy’s core business centers on proactive measures: primarily investigation of workplace complaints, dispute resolution, and executive coaching and training.

In addition to her focus on preventive measures, Molloy has testified as an expert witness on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants.

Prior to founding Encompass Resolution, Molloy practiced employment law with a large defense firm where she conducted independent investigations and represented employers in harassment, discrimination, and other serious employee complaints. Before that, she was with a prominent Kansas City plaintiff firm, where she represented individuals in employmentrelated matters and managed the firm’s practice and process of case intake and evaluation.

Before entering the private sector, she was a senior investigator with the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, where she was responsible for evaluating intake of cases, guiding the investigation of highly complex cases, and recommending commission-initiated litigation.

Molloy earned a BA, cum laude, from Rockhurst University where she was a member of Alpha Sigma Nu. She was awarded a JD with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law. In 2007 she completed the Professional Skills Program in Dispute Resolution at the Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution, Pepperdine University School of Law.

Molloy and her Dublin-born husband, Fintan, were founding members of Kansas City-based Celtic Fringe – an organization founded in the mid‘90s to welcome newly arrived Irish immigrants – and are current members of the Kansas City Irish Center. They were married in her motherin-law’s hometown (Malin, Co. Donegal) and currently reside there several months of the year. Their two children, Ciarán and Claire, are graduates of Trinity College Dublin.

Molloy is a third generation Irish American on her mother’s maternal side and traces her heritage on both maternal and paternal sides to counties Sligo, Mayo, Galway, Roscommon and Cork.
