KELLY Murphy is senior vice president and general counsel for Henry Schein, Inc., a Fortune 500 Company headquartered in Melville, New York. She is also a member of the company’s Executive Management Committee. Murphy is responsible for the company’s legal matters in global mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, litigation, and other corporate legal matters. Since joining Henry Schein in 2011, she quickly distinguished herself by her legal expertise as well as her leadership abilities. Over the years, Murphy has successfully handled, from a legal perspective, some of the most complex global mergers and acquisitions transactions for the company, while balancing other requirements of her demanding role. In addition to her corporate legal achievements, Murphy is a champion of diversity and inclusion (D&I), currently serving as the executive management sponsor for the company’s D&I Council, a group of global leaders tasked with advancing the company’s D&I initiatives and education. She is actively involved in Henry Schein’s various employee resource groups. Murphy is also an active supporter of Henry Schein’s corporate social responsibility and community efforts, often devoting her time to actively participate in the company’s back to school and holiday cheer community events held at the Melville headquarters. Murphy earned a BA in communications from Boston University, and a JD from Fordham University School of Law. Married with two daughters, Murphy’s paternal grandparents emigrated from Co. Cork. Her maternal grandmother was from Co. Clare.
