MICHAEL J. O’BRIEN

MICHAEL J. O’Brien is executive vice president and general counsel at Omnicom Group in New York. Omnicom is an inter-connected global network of leading marketing communications companies, and its portfolio provides the best talent, creativity, technology and innovation to some of the world’s most iconic and successful brands.

O’Brien joined Omnicom as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary in November 2003, and was made executive vice president in February 2020. As Omnicom’s global chief legal officer, he advises the Board of Directors and its committees, leads the company’s worldwide legal team, manages legal services provided to the company, and monitors the company’s compliance with all applicable regulations around the world.
