ELIZABETH M. O’Callahan is executive vice president and chief legal officer at NetApp, a global Fortune 500 cloud-led, data centric software company headquartered in San Jose, California. She is responsible for overseeing all legal matters at the company and managing the worldwide legal team, leads the company’s ESG efforts, and serves as NetApp’s corporate secretary and chief compliance officer. Throughout her career, O’Callahan has advised leading technology companies on a variety of matters, including corporate governance, securities law, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, corporate compliance and ethics, data privacy, intellectual property, and litigation. She is the recipient of professional awards including the National Diversity Council’s 2020 Leadership Excellence in Technology Award, Corporate Counsel Women of Power and Influence in Law, The Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Women of Influence, The Recorder’s Women Leaders in Tech Law, Inside Counsel Poised for Prominence, and the YWCA Tribute to Women & Industry Award. Callahan earned a BA, cum laude, from UCLA, and a JD from Santa Clara University. Married with one son, O’Callahan’s paternal roots are in Tydavnet, Co. Monaghan. Her mother’s family – Gaughans, Shanleys and O’Malleys – are from counties Mayo and Sligo. She is on the Board of Directors of Bay Scholars, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities to low income students, and is a member of the Irish American Bar Association of Northern California.
