MEGAN O’CONNOR

MEGAN O’Connor is a partner at Levin & Perconti in Chicago. An experienced trial attorney, she has proven herself to be a tenacious and highly skilled legal advocate for those who are the most vulnerable.

Prior to joining Levin & Perconti in 2021, she worked for several Chicago civil rights and personal injury law firms where her work included representing children in the foster care system as well as other medical malpractice and personal injury cases. Her work has helped thousands of Illinois children by highlighting need for significant reforms in the state’s foster care system.

O’Connor’s most notable verdicts and settlements total nearly $100 million and include serving as second chair in a record-setting $45 million verdict for the death of a toddler as the result of a child welfare agency’s negligence.

O’Connor is frequently included on several Top Verdict lists and has been named an Illinois Super Lawyer every year since 2017. She is a member of the American Association for Justice and the Women’s Caucus of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.

O’Connor earned a BA, cum laude, from North Central College, and a JD from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.

O’Connor is mother to a daughter. Her great great grandfather, William Joseph O’Connor, was a native of Listowel, Co. Kerry. She still has distant relatives that live on the farm where he was born. Her great great grandmother, Margaret O’Connor, was born in Toornafulla, Co. Limerick. Another great grandmother, Sarah Katherine Connolly, was born in Cloonfad, Co. Roscommon.

O’Connor is an active member of the Irish community and participates in several cultural events in Elmhurst and the Chicagoland area. Her five-year-old daughter just completed an intro course of Irish dance at Trinity in the western suburbs of Chicago.
