KEVIN O’GORMAN

KEVIN O’Gorman is the U.S. head of arbitration and partner-in-charge in the Houston office of Norton Rose Fulbright. He is recognized in the U.S. and globally for his experience in international arbitration, domestic arbitration and international litigation. He has particular experience with commercial, corporate, energy, sovereign, treaty and construction disputes.

O’Gorman has appeared in numerous U.S. courts. In addition to his client work, he has served as an arbitrator in domestic and international cases for over a decade.

O’Gorman is a leader in the ICC US National Arbitration Committee and was a member of the ICC Taskforce on Resolving Climate Change Related Disputes in Arbitration. He serves on the Board of Trustees of the Center for American and International Law, and serves on the executed committee of the Institute for Transnational Arbitration. He previously held senior leadership positions on the ABA International Law Section and State Bar of Texas Section of International Law.

O’Gorman is admitted to practice in Texas, New York and England and Wales (solicitor). He is a life fellow of the American, Texas and Houston bar foundations.

O’Gorman is annually recognized by Chambers USA, The Best Lawyers in America, Legal 500 US, and Texas Super Lawyers.

O’Gorman earned a BA, magna cum laude, from the University of Houston’s Honor Program, and a JD, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School.

O’Gorman’s great great grandfather Michael Thomas O’Gorman hailed from Charleville, Co. Cork. His father Leo is a native of Shamrock, Texas.

O’Gorman is a member of Arbitration Ireland. Most recently, he spoke at Dublin International Arbitration Day in 2021 and helped organize Arbitration Ireland’s New York chapter program in September, 2022.

O’Gorman has three children: Cecilia, Isabel Maeve and Lily.
