MARY Fahy Woehr is general counsel, senior vice president and corporate secretary at Cenlar FSB, based in Ewing, New Jersey. She is an experienced legal professional with demonstrated skills in a variety of legal areas, including banking, legal management, corporate governance and mortgage servicing.

Fahy Woehr has been with Cenlar FSB since 2014. Cenlar FSB is a federally chartered, wholesale bank, servicing more than three million mortgage loans from more than 150 banks, credit unions and mortgage bankers. With offices across the country, Cenlar has 3,000plus employees and has the number one position in the subservicing industry year after year.

Fahy Woehr is responsible for tactical legal initiatives. She provides senior management and the board of directors with effective advice on company strategies and their implementation; manages legal function and the legal department; provides legal advice on key legal matters, including litigation, employment, regulatory and corporate matters; oversees the selection, retention, management and evaluation of outside counsel; and performs corporate secretary duties.

Fahy Woehr earned a BA from St. John’s University, and a JD from St. John’s University School of Law.

A widow with two children, she is a native of Queens, New York, born to Irish parents. Her father Thomas Fahy was from Ballydavock, Co. Mayo and her mother Mary Teresa (nee Cronin) Fahy was from Killarney, Co. Kerry. Fahy Woehr credits her parents stressing the value of education and their strong work ethic with driving her to do her best. She’s proud of being a first generation success story representing the Irish immigrant experience.
